archon binoculars - binoculars 101

As it is with binoculars, so it is with scopes. People from all age groups buy binoculars.

Pack them and you'll be looking off into the distance bringing everything so much closer. Those who have little room to stow prefer a monocular over a binocular. The "10" refers to the magnification power of the binoculars, that is, objects viewed will appear to be 10 times closer than when they are viewed by the naked eye.

A telescope allows the universe to come to you, in other words objects of long distance come closer, while a microscope puts small objects to become bigger so you can see. If your binoculars are going to be used during low light like hunting and astronomy, you had better have large objective lenses. Properly cared for, a good pair of binoculars will serve you for decades.

Looking in the two to five hundred dollar range when buying binoculars is the best for your money. Coated lens will improve the binoculars contrast and image quality. The feel of your new binoculars should be somewhat light but not too much.

Get Outdoors! If you want powerful night vision optics for a cheaper price, consider night vision monocular.
